Vitalik: The zkEVM speed war has been won; the top priority should shift to security.

PANews October 15 news: Vitalik Buterin posted on X congratulating the zkSync airbender team on reaching a milestone, and stated that the "speed race" of zkEVM has been completely won, and the top priority should shift entirely to security. He believes this means three things need to be formally verified: the equivalence between arithmetization and the Ethereum specification; a strict maximum upper bound on the ratio of verification cost to the amount of Gas in a block; and the security of the proof system itself.
