Solana Mobile: Malicious app on dApp Store requests seed phrases

PANews November 2 news: Solana Mobile posted on X platform that today a malicious third-party app named "SKR Claim" was submitted to the Solana dApp Store. After the attacker gained unauthorized access to the dApp Publishing Portal, they modified the App Spotlight and Quests interfaces. The app prompts users to enter their mnemonic phrase. The app was displayed in dApp Spotlight for about 1 hour before being taken down and is currently being removed from installed devices. The team has fixed the vulnerability that allowed linking to apps that were not fully published and reminded users that Solana Mobile will not ask for mnemonic phrases or crypto assets, nor will it ask users to connect wallets to claim airdrops.
