OpenAI: ChatGPT and Codex will share quota, effective in December.

PANews November 1 news, according to Zhitong Finance report, OpenAI issued an announcement that it will adjust the usage quota rules for ChatGPT and Codex in December this year. Under the new rules, the usage quotas of the three paid plans ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Business will be calculated on a combined basis. ChatGPT and Codex will no longer calculate quotas separately, but will share the same quota pool.

This adjustment is related to OpenAI integrating the agent capabilities of ChatGPT Work into ChatGPT, aiming to enable users to complete more complex tasks directly in ChatGPT. After the adjustment, the quota consumption of ChatGPT and Codex will be uniformly calculated by Token, and the specific consumption will depend on the model selected by the user and the complexity of the task.
