Reuters: Some investors are considering lowering their valuation expectations for Anthropic's IPO to about $1.5 trillion.

PANews October 17 news, according to Reuters citing people familiar with the matter, after Anthropic disclosed its latest financial data, some existing and potential IPO investors are considering lowering their valuation expectations. At an investor event in San Francisco on October 14, some investors discussed a valuation of about $1.5 trillion, lower than the previous expectation of about $2 trillion for a November IPO.

Anthropic disclosed to investors that third-quarter revenue grew 45% quarter over quarter to $16.8 billion and that it achieved adjusted profitability. However, second-quarter revenue had more than doubled quarter over quarter to $11.6 billion, and the slowdown in growth disappointed some investors. The above valuation is an investor discussion and is not yet the final IPO pricing; Anthropic did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
