OKX Responds to Secondary Identity Verification Reminder: It Is a Routine KYC Update and Does Not Indicate an Account Anomaly

PANews October 16 news: OKX founder Star posted that OKX will regularly verify and update user identity information based on the specific circumstances of the account. When an account has been open for 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, or when an ID document expires, users may need to complete identity verification again. Star stated that this is a routine operation for global financial institutions to fulfill KYC (Know Your Customer) obligations, and it does not mean that there is anything abnormal with the account. Users only need to update their information truthfully according to official prompts. Previously, a registered user from mainland China said on X that they had received a secondary verification reminder from OKX, questioned whether this move was related to tax requirements, and reported that the account could not be canceled.
