Tom Lee: There may be a $2 trillion wealth transfer in the next 3 years, and demand for crypto assets could benefit.

PANews October 12 news, according to CoinDesk, Bitmine Immersion Technologies chairman Tom Lee said that the intergenerational transfer of wealth occurring over the next few years may become an important factor driving demand in the next crypto market cycle. According to data from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Fundstrat research, between 2026 and 2028, approximately $1.5 trillion to $2 trillion in wealth is expected to be transferred between generations. Because younger investors who inherit wealth generally have a higher risk appetite, they may increase allocations to risk assets such as crypto assets and stocks.

Tom Lee added that Wall Street's accelerated adoption of blockchain technology for asset tokenization, the development of AI applications, and treasury companies that hold crypto assets for the long term may also become drivers of future market growth.
