PANews reported on September 25 that according to Cointelegraph, SlowMist stated that it has not independently confirmed that the recent attack sample against iPhone Safari resulted in the theft of any user’s encrypted assets. The technical evidence it currently has mainly involves iOS 18.4 to 18.6.2. The statement that iOS 13 to 26.5 is affected is still a preliminary judgment. SlowMist said that the attack reused the previously disclosed DarkSword vulnerability exploit chain. The malicious webpage can load the attack code after the user opens it using Safari. The sample includes the ability to access Apple Keychain and read encrypted wallet application data, but this does not prove that the attacker has successfully extracted specific wallet information. SlowMist recommends users to update their iOS systems promptly and avoid clicking on suspicious links.
