Trump promises another US$5,000 in citizen "dividends" and plans to spend US$1.2 trillion, which may become the largest economic stimulus plan since the epidemic.

According to BlockBeats news, on October 3, U.S. President Trump once again promised that if the Republican Party wins the House of Representatives and the Senate in the midterm elections, it will issue a $5,000 "dividend" to every adult American citizen.

This plan has been proposed by Trump before and is still a campaign promise. When reporters asked whether the money would require congressional approval, Trump said: "Well, we don't think it does. If they do need it, they will definitely do it, but we don't think it's necessary. But we have a prerequisite, which is that the money must be spent within the United States - we don't want the money to flow to other countries. We think this is a very good measure, very popular, and will inject strong impetus into the economy."

The plan is expected to cost about $1.2 trillion, based on about 240 million adult U.S. citizens, making it one of the largest U.S. economic stimulus packages since the start of the pandemic.
