RWA platform OpenWorld plans to acquire Blocksight

ChainCatcher news, on October 1, Nasdaq-listed company OpenWorld, Inc. (stock code: OPNW) announced in Las Vegas that it intends to acquire Blocksight Holdings Co. The transaction is subject to final approval by OpenWorld's board of directors and the signing of final documents. The parties are finalizing relevant documents and the company said there is no guarantee that the documents will be signed or that the transaction will be completed.

Blocksight builds a platform of artificial intelligence agents to put real-world assets on-chain and provide continuous investor reporting. The agent covers transaction construction, asset data verification, investor introduction, daily reporting and continuous services. It can run across multiple chains and directly connect to the distribution platform. Key decisions require manual approval. The proposed acquisition is intended to support the still-in-development OpenWorld Enterprise, a platform through which institutions can access, verify and hold tokenized real-world asset opportunities, with OpenWorld potentially serving as a co-host and co-architect.

If the deal is completed, Blocksight co-founders Patrick Kim and Peter Hong are expected to join OpenWorld to assist in technology integration. OpenWorld co-founder and CEO Matthew Shaw said the proposed acquisition is an important step in the company's launch as a public company and could strengthen its foundation of a tokenized real-world asset platform for institutions. The announcement was made in partnership with VerifyMe, Inc.
