Tesla delivered 486,500 vehicles in the third quarter, higher than market expectations

According to ChainCatcher news, Tesla’s official website released data on October 2, delivering 486,532 vehicles in the third quarter, higher than analysts’ average estimate of 463,761 vehicles; during the same period, it produced 464,391 vehicles and deployed 13.7 GWh of energy storage products. Deliveries were down from 497,099 vehicles in the same period last year, which the Census Bureau said was a record as U.S. consumers concentrated on buying ahead of the end of the federal electric car purchase discount.

Model 3 and Model Y delivered 478,237 units in the third quarter, accounting for approximately 98.3% of total deliveries in the quarter. The Cailian News Agency stated that Tesla has stopped producing the higher-priced Model S and Model

StoneX analyst Mickey Legg said: Better-than-expected deliveries may bring upside to the auto business forecast, but there are still questions about the energy business. Musk is pushing the company to move toward artificial intelligence, driverless cars and humanoid robots, and the company plans to spend more than $25 billion this year to expand factories and build out its robotaxi business, and regulatory filings this week showed it had secured $30 billion in new loans and credit lines, the Financial Associated Press said. Tesla shares rose nearly 6% during the day.
