West Midlands Police offer reward of up to £10,000 for clues in encrypted home invasion robberies

Wu said he had learned that Britain's West Midlands Police said Crimestoppers was offering a reward of up to 10,000 pounds (about $13,200) for information about a home invasion robbery targeting crypto asset holders. The case occurred on December 13, 2025. When a couple who were waiting for the birth of their third child returned to their residence in Birmingham Smith’s Wood, three men forced their way in and asked the victim to transfer a large amount of crypto assets. The relevant operating instructions were provided remotely by a fourth person through a video call. The husband was attacked and seriously injured and his pregnant wife was also threatened with a knife, police said. After obtaining the crypto assets, the attackers also took away multiple high-value watches and fled in a car. Police believe the incident may have been a premeditated targeted attack and are still looking for those involved.
