According to a memo issued by Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan, after the CLARITY Act failed to advance in the U.S. Senate, stablecoins, existing crypto exchanges, tokenized platforms, and tokens repurchased using protocol revenue instead benefited. He believes that the obstruction of the bill retains the space for exchanges to provide stablecoin rewards, and also allows existing platforms such as Coinbase and Kraken to continue to maintain their license and business structure advantages; regulatory agencies subsequently promoted tokenized stock trading pilots and clarified issues related to token repurchase in functional networks to provide support for the other two types of businesses. However, Hougan pointed out that these benefits depend on the actions of regulators, and future changes in government may still bring about policy changes.
