PANews October 17 news: According to the official X account of SecuX and a post by Ripple CTO David "JoelKatz" Schwartz, hardware wallet manufacturer SecuX announced on October 16 that its App was undergoing a "major system upgrade and emergency maintenance," and at 3:34 PM that afternoon said the service had "resumed normal operation." That same evening, Schwartz disclosed that the SecuX Android App pushed a scam notification to him, and clicking it linked to a phishing page that induced users to enter a 12/24-word mnemonic phrase. SecuX did not explain the cause of the incident and only reiterated that it would never ask for recovery phrases. As of October 17, multiple users reported that they still could not access their wallets and that the service remained unavailable.
