Horsley used this to compare the market backdrop at the time of the launch of gold ETFs and Bitcoin ETFs, pointing out that both types of assets already had relatively large asset scales by the time ETF products entered the market.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs were approved for listing in 2024, providing traditional investors with a new channel to allocate to BTC through regulated financial products.
